Is It Appropriate to Post Birthday Wishes on the Office Notice Board?

Is there any issue with posting birthday wishes for an employee on the notice board? If not, what is the exact purpose of the notice board?

There is no issue in sticking the birthday wishes at the notice board. Also, you can send an email to the employee from the HR department.

You can put an A4 sheet with a birthday picture in between on the notice board, and other employees can write birthday wishes for that person. The next day, you can hand over that sheet to the Birthday Boy/Girl.
