How Can I Effectively Present Employee Satisfaction Survey Results to Management?

rashmi.bhardwaj
Hi all,

I am Rashmi, working as a Senior Executive in a BPO. I want to know how I should initiate a survey on employee satisfaction. I have circulated a survey in my organization, but I am unsure how to present the data and results in the form of graphs to highlight important issues to the top management.

Please find the attachment of the survey I circulated among the employees and let me know your suggestions.

Regards,
Rashmi

Hi Rashmi,

Good effort, although I have two concerns with your questionnaire. Firstly, asking staff to provide personal details while trying to capture candid feedback on extremely sensitive questions, such as the seniors. Secondly, having double-barreled questions like "My job is challenging and interesting." How would staff answer this question if they find their job challenging but not interesting? It is preferred to have two separate questions.

Returning to your request, assuming that your staff have returned the questionnaire, the next step you need to take is data entry. You can enter the data into an Excel spreadsheet with the first few columns reserved for employee demographics. The rest of the columns can be named A1, A2, and so on, representing your individual questions. Each row will capture all the responses of one individual staff member. Repeat the data entry process until all returns are captured.

I have to go for a meeting now but will continue later. For a start, you may want to complete your data entry first. The next step would be to package this data into usable information.

Hi all, I have recently started working, and I must say that this site proves to be really helpful. I would like to thank Rashmi for the satisfaction survey. I have to prepare a survey for the new joiner, and the survey has really helped me think about how I can frame the questions.

Thanks and Regards,
Nupur
