New to Soft Skills Training? How Much Should You Charge for Your Sessions?

Please suggest the right fee a beginner trainer should charge for a full-day/half-day soft skills training program. I am new in this field, please help.

The charges vary from city to city. If you are in a metro or a well-developed city, you can ask for 300-500 rs per hour. Else, you can go for 200-250 per hour.

I would like to know if you are the trainer. Then I will be in a better position to let you know about the fee. Usually, a trainer can ask for Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 per hour.

You say you are a beginner. Doing a program must be your first reward. There is no regulation or standardization for fees. Best ask yourself how much you deserve and start demanding. You must know your worth. If you leave it to others, you may be priced, may not be valued.

Considering that you have 7 years of experience in the training industry, I would suggest you could demand 350-400 Rs on an hourly basis or 3000-3500 for a day's training. These are the rates for Delhi and Mumbai. However, if you will be training on any behavioral modules like team building, time management, or stress management, don't go for anything less than 5000 Rs for one day's workshop. If the company is far from your residence, you could even ask for a travel allowance. You could lower the rates if it's a small town. I hope that answers your question.
