I Have a small BPO in India. I reside out of India and am not well versed with standards in India. My Employees in India tell me that Most BPOs in India give 30% raise within 3-6 months of employment and then 20-25% raise in subsequent 6 months. Thus giving more than 50% raise in very first year itself. Then 15-20% raise every 6-12 months there after.
I do find it excessive. Can some body comment on it and tell me what are the usual increments for Average performing employee in first 1-2 years of there job. Also they say that 1 month of salary as Diwali bonus once a year is industry standard. Is it true?
