Phd Registration

Hi,
I would like to do PHD registration.When will UGC change the norms?
Is it possible in your state?
I have done my all masters through distance learning.From where i can do my PHD?
Pl.suggest name except IGNOU.
IGNOU is taking too much time.Other private institutes are very much costly.Is there value of ON-Line PHD?
If yes then from where in India?I want to do from UGC approve University.

Is a candidate of MBA in HR (completed) and M.Phil in HR (not yet completed), apply for Phd directly? If so, please refer the universities.

i heard Periyar university has this option...check in the web for periyar university or Manonmaniyam sundaranar university.

Dear Seniors,
I am also interested in doing my Phd.
But have only 6 months of wrk exp in Hr generalist profile. Completed my Mba in Hr in July 09.
Please guide as to wen is the right time to go ahead with it.
And what are other additional qualifications that i can lookout for in the mean while along with my work.

There is anathor option for doing Phd is from AIMA New Delhi which has a tie up with Aligarh Muslim University and it is a distance learning program.
