Navigating Free Zone Visa Changes: What Happens to My Wife's Visa and Stay?

I am having an unlimited free zone visa from Jebel Ali. And I am going to join a company on 1st feb in Abu Dhabi. My wife is also staying with me who is on husband's visa. My query is :

1) What will be consequences regarding the cancellation of visa for me as well as my wife if my present company grants NOC or doesn't grant NOC.
2) Do I need to send my wife back to India till my Visa gets transferred from dubai to Abu dhabi.
3) After cancellation of my wife's visa how long can she stay in Dubai.

Would be grateful if you help us the above issues, as it is very urgent and our Company PRO/ HR is not providing us the proper information.

The rules are very complicated. After hiring a person, we have to wait for more than a month to get the candidate on board. Can anyone help me to have the full information on the visa process and time required?

Please note the Ministry of Labour doesn't control Free Zone visas. So, when you move from a Free Zone visa to MOL-controlled companies, there will not be a ban on you. With regards to an unlimited contract, you can give 1 month's notice (or as agreed in your contract/appointment letter), complete your notice period, cancel your visa, and move on to your new company.

From the day of your cancellation, you will have 30 days to change your visa to your new company's visa. During this period, you can stay in the country (as can your wife).

Hi Halib,

The time taken to obtain an employment visa normally takes 3-4 weeks. However, this timeframe depends on the company and your PRO's credibility in the ministry.
