Hi Radhika,

I believe you have a specialization only in the 3rd semester, right? If you're doing the projects right away, then I would suggest a few options:

1) Change Management
2) Employee Engagement (a very hot topic in the market)
3) Employee Retention
4) Organizational Development (OD)
5) Competency Mapping
6) Industrial Psychology

These are a few areas in which you can really build your career. I wish you all the best.

I did my project on Training & Development too and I found the subject to be very interesting as it has so many aspects to explore. Going through so many different organizations will give you a better idea on the differences of the industries and employees etc.
But I think it's better if you can find out which topic interests you the most because it will motivate you with the project further!!

If you are interested in recruitment, consider doing your project in a reputable consultancy. This will provide you with a lot of exposure. However, if you are keen on working in a manufacturing firm, try to do a project in a manufacturing unit. Here, you can gain practical exposure. All the best.

The most rapidly growing industry is retail. The most rapidly growing sector in HR is Training and Employee retention. The second best option to work in HR is Compliance. Most of the companies that are going to come to India in terms of retail are European, so they believe in a Hire and Fire policy. However, the same isn't so easy due to the tough statutes in India. Therefore, these companies are looking for people who can help them with this particular problem. You can try your hand in HR Compliance, but again, you need to have knowledge about laws such as the Shop and Establishment Act, ESIC, Factories Act, and other welfare laws pertaining to employees.

This field is not explored by many as it requires legal knowledge, so maybe you can try the same for creating a unique project.

Why have you only got 15 days when you know months in advance the need to complete a project? What will you do with a project if it is given? Instead of asking for soft copies, do some literature search, decide on the aim and objectives that are beneficial to the organization (if you have one that gives access) and yourself. Then, arrive at a conceptual framework, etc. Please refer to my posts at citehr on Research Methodology and also for posts with sample projects, which are attached and will act as a guide for the format of the project report.

After that, you should search for articles related to that topic. Set the objectives for the project, then create questionnaires accordingly. For instance, if you aim to assess the effectiveness of training in an organization, set objectives related to this topic. Develop questionnaires for each objective. Subsequently, conduct surveys among employees and utilize tools to analyze the effectiveness. Provide suggestions and recommendations, and finally, conclude. This outlines the procedure and steps. An academic project report follows a set structure imposed by the institution/university. It's not clear from your post whether you are a student or not. What's the report for?

Hey, first of all, thanks for replying. I am a student, and it was my summer intern project. Yes, the college has given a specific pattern, but it is about research. I have not done any research. So, how should I document my project? Is there any other pattern to do so? Kindly reply back.

Have they given any instructions for an internship project? A real-time project should be OK, provided you can do some literature survey about opening new stores and explain why it was necessary, describe what was done and how, explain why it was done that way and what other options were there and why they were ruled, and then evaluate what you learned from that experience and how the practical aspects relate to what you studied in the classes. Please search the web for any information on real-time project reporting.
