An employee is an Pers ares and Pers Sub area. These are assigned to a Company code and country grouping.

A pers area / pers sub area combination can be assigned to one company and one country grouping. Thus a pers are may be linked to one or more company codes. Country code determines currency for the employee. Company code determines the organisational structure that the employee belongs to. It provides the links to FI/CO and for functions/processes like payroll posting, costing. When you assign a person to a pers area/sub area, you also need to assign to a position in an Org unit. To do this the MP000100 goes to the FI module to check if FI is implemented.
