Struggling to Get Medical Bills Reimbursed After Retirement: What Should I Do?

thampymangalath
I retired from Indian Railways in March 1992. My medical reimbursement bills have not been paid to me even after reminding the authorities through phone and letters during the last 2 years. The bill was submitted in February 2008, and I am still waiting for payment.

Reference: Letter from Medical Superintendent Trivandrum: MS/TVC No. V/MD/34/1/P.08/26 dated 17.07.2008 & my letter No. MPA/Med-Bills/2008 dated 21.01.2009.

Kindly advise me on the position.

Dear Mr. Thampymangalath,

I am so sorry to hear that, Sir. I am so concerned by the treatment our Senior Citizens of Nations get from these "babugiri" of the government officials, and it really pains me. After spending so many years working and sweating for this country, when one has to go through this, it is so humiliating.

My suggestion is to file your complaint under RTI with Southern Railway, Chennai PIO, Mr. M. Amrendra Dy GM/G Railway no: 22541, Tel: 25355305. Do mention the name of the person, but address it to PIO and your complaint.

Wish you all the very best.

Regards, Ukmitra
