Privilege Leave Differences by Role: Is It Fair for Managers to Get More Days?

rathiamit79
Privilege leave entitlement varies according to the designation within an organization. For example, a Manager may receive 18 days while a General Manager may get 30 days. Is it possible for such distinctions to exist?

Hi,

If you are a factory, you have to give one paid leave for every 20 working days of the employee, as per the Factories Act. If you are under the Shops and Establishment Act, you have to give:

1. Privilege leave of 15 days
2. Casual leave of 12 days
3. Sick leave of 12 days

during the one year of services. The above leaves are to be given as per the above Acts irrespective of the designation of the employees. It is at the employer's discretion to give more leaves to designated employees above and beyond the specified leaves.
