How Do I Conduct a Market Salary Survey for Different Job Levels in Water Treatment?

veena.putrevu
Hi,

I need to conduct a market survey on salaries at different levels within our company, which specializes in water treatment. The levels in our company are as follows:

L1 - COO

L2 - VP

L3 - DIRECTORS

L4 - GM

L5 - DGM

L6 - SR MANAGER

L7 - MANAGER

L8 - ASST MANAGER

L9 - SR EXECUTIVE

L10 - EXECUTIVE

Please provide me with the minimum and maximum salary ranges for each level. Additionally, I would like to know the definition of tertiles/quartiles within each level between the minimum and maximum salary bands.

Regards,
Veena

Hi Veena,

I think you should explore compensation packages in other relevant industries that offer similar products to your organization. Alternatively, you can consider the competency mapping for all designations based on experience and educational qualifications. This approach will be helpful in implementing the compensation policy effectively.

Please let me know if you need further clarification or assistance on this matter.

Thank you.

Dear,

In case you get any relevant and complete salary data comparable to your company by posting this thread, then it is your good luck or miracle, or maybe an accident. You need to target specific companies with whom you feel your company's salaries should be compared. You will have to approach those companies and request their salary data. Not all companies you approach will share their salary data. You will have to convince the management of these companies, competing with each other, to share the data. They may agree only if they see any benefit in it. Perhaps you can offer them a well-prepared salary survey report which will be beneficial to all participating companies. In case you find it difficult to do, you may need to hire a professional consultant specializing in salary surveys. All the best.
