What the Movie "Lagaan" Teaches Us About Teamwork – Have You Noticed These Lessons?

Hello to all users of citehr,

I would like to share an example of teamwork. Most of us might have watched the film "Lagaan," but the learnings from this film about teamwork are really worth adopting. I hope this hasn't been posted earlier. Happy viewing.

Lastly, a happy New Year 2010 to all, and especially to citehr for their contribution to the corporate world.

Warm regards,
Prabir

Great Prabirc,

I also believe that when I'm overconfident, the defeat will come. Sometimes you are not choosing your team, and they do not have the same goal; they just do their jobs. So, you try to involve them, but this works for a while. Then their energy is depleted, and you try again. This process really consumes your energy.

Dear Prabir,

I had developed this PowerPoint presentation on my own in 2004 and used it at the LIC of India Training Center in Dharwar for their Development Officers. It was a roaring success. This success can be attributed to the use of a popular Hindi movie featuring cricket, which naturally piqued the interest of the audience. When used effectively, the message conveyed in the film can be powerfully transmitted to the participants. If the facilitator utilizes it by engaging the best faculties of the mind to drive home important information. Many thanks for sharing this for the benefit of others.

Probir,

Thank you for the nice presentation. This will help me convey the message of leadership to the participants in the training classes. Good work.

Hi,

That was a nice one on teamwork. Another movie that stresses teamwork and leadership is "Chak De! India" and it has been used in B-Schools as a case study.
