Case Study: How Rational Decision-Making Challenges Popular Opinions

Hi folks,

I found an interesting case study projecting the importance of decision-making and how decisions are made rationally.

"Remember that what's right is not always popular and what's popular is not always right."

Lovely, I am impressed. It is very right that our politicians normally take the populist route, and meritocracy is often sacrificed.

Thank you, Ravikumar, for your input. That's a very sad story that happened in my office as well. I'm planning to pursue my PhD. Perhaps you (and others) could suggest a topic for me to explore.

Honestly, my decision was not to take the train on the abandoned track, keeping in view the safety of passengers. Railways are always more concerned about people on the train than on the track; tracks are for trains, and for people, it is the roads.

Wow! I admired the thought, and I will surely re-echo this to my colleagues - the learning I gained from this story.
