Thank you.

Dear Ms. Meenakshi,

You can reduce employee attrition by understanding the reasons behind it. For every departing employee, conducting an exit interview can be very beneficial in identifying areas for necessary action.

Dear Swathi,

Thank you for your reply. We do conduct exit interviews. The fact is, all of them until now have praised the organization, the ambiance, and the working atmosphere, and have always been happy. However, there is still something that prevents them from staying on. When I say "staying on," I am referring to more than 2 years, as 2 years is a normal tenure for our team members.

To provide you with some insight into the industry, we operate in the education sector, and the majority of our staff consists of faculty members and project heads.

Dear Ms. Meenakshi,

Reward and recognition are the best remedies for employee attrition. After conducting performance appraisals, provide some rewards and recognition to your employees.

Dear Basivi,

Please specify the kind of reward and recognition one can provide in the education industry, especially to faculty members.

Hi Meenakshi,

Employee retention is common in all fields. Rewards and recognition vary from one field to another. Money (salary) is the biggest motivator. Secondly, the relationship between employees and employers, and thirdly, the environment in the company. Apart from that, encouraging top performers, fostering creativity, holding frequent meetings, and gathering feedback from employees for improvement are common points in employee retention.

Any suggestions on the above points are welcome!

Thanks & Regards
