Wedding Gift Ideas for Employees: Suggestions for Personalized and Lasting Company Gifts

Tania_m
Hi all,

Can you please help me by suggesting some gifts that we can give to employees on their weddings? I'm looking for gifts on which the company name/logo can be engraved or written, and which are long-lasting as well.

Tania

Hi,

You could visit retailers that specialize in corporate gifting as they will have a wider range. Some ideas include crystal items like showpieces, something like photo frames, vases, paintings (with the company logo or name on the frame). However, it all depends on your budget.

Hope this was of some use.

Hi,

For the wedding, you can consider requesting a contribution from all the staff members, and based on the amount collected, you can choose a gift. Some suggestions include:

1. Dinner Set
2. Kitchenware
3. Silver item
4. Crystal showpiece

I hope this solution resolves your issue.

Dear Manish, Thressa, and Anu,

Thank you a ton for your suggestions. I really appreciate the rough idea and variety.

Santosh, the budget is Rs. 10,000 and is the same for all levels. We actually wanted something with our company logo engraved on it, which could be long-lasting. Please let me know if you also have some great ideas.

Thanks again, all of you.

Regards,

Hi Tania,

I would suggest a gift item around Rs. 5000 and the remaining amount be used to start an insurance policy. For example, if the employee stays with your company for another three years from the policy's commencement date, they will receive a specific amount.

The benefits of this approach are twofold. Firstly, it can serve as a wedding gift for the employee, and secondly, it can help in retaining the employee for a longer period. Implementing this practice will also convey to the employee that the company genuinely cares for them and their family.

Regarding such insurance policies, you can reach out to insurance companies like Bajaj Allianz. Nowadays, many employers are collaborating with insurance companies to retain their workforce.

I look forward to your feedback.

If the budget is Rs. 10,000, then we can give him a beautiful bed, arrange for a trip after marriage, or give them a Eureka Forbes Aquaguard (a water purifier) as a gift. However, employees are required to submit their wedding card to HR.

Hi Tania,

Since the amount is Rs. 10,000, instead of going for showpieces which are only going to decorate the showcase, you can consider getting them some useful electrical appliances like a fridge, microwave oven, etc., or else golden rings or watches.

Hello all,

At this amount, you can easily arrange a tour. Physical goods are generally less important to all of us. In today's culture, employees desire some memorable moments, whether with their co-workers or family. The impact of a company-sponsored tour will have a long-lasting effect. By offering different places, you can also motivate others.

With regards,
Mayur

Hello friends,

Can you please email me the wedding/newborn gift policy in your company, including the following points:

1. How do you determine the budget for gifts? Is it based on levels? If yes, what is the amount for each level?
2. What type of gifts do you usually provide?
3. Who is eligible to receive gifts?
4. How can employees avail of this benefit (process)?

Thank you.
