Need Your Inputs -- Post From An INDIAN Living Abroad

md_rahmat
Hey, guys i am currently working abroad with a telecommunications company and have an experience of more than 10 years.
During my interactions with people here, i felt that there are many people who want to return home and live with the loved ones but are afraid to any decision because of financial insecurity. Are there Jobs in the market? And does our experience here taken into account?
I would like to hear from you all there.
And thankyou for your participation.

Hi
There are plenty of jobs in India. As a country, India has take huge leaps on the path to becoming a developed nation. Today there are more opportunities than 20 years back. hence you will notice a trend of reverse brain drain. People who migrated to countries like US, Europe are now coming back to India to explore the various opportunities available here. You too can come back and explore the opportunities.
However you need to have a realistic salary expectation. Do a market research on the salaries offered in India. You may not get the salary you are currently drawing overseas, but you can still get good salary to maintain the same standard of living you are currently having.
Having said the above, the first step is to take a decision, once thats done, everything else will start falling into place.

There are opportunities here in India, you may need to take an effort in browsing job boards - particularly Naukri, Monster, timesjob, jobsahead. A covering letter explaining the reason for change and move to India can be mentioned.

Hi Rahmat,
Telecom in India is coming out in a very big and decent way. Ministry of Information & Broadcast has issue telecom license to three major Players. to name someof them are TATA (who joins the race with GSM player) Reliance (again GSM) Shyam Telecom, Etisalat.
for more info you can certainly browse the below mentioned path:-

Dear Ash
May I ask for your valuable input in regard to geniuness of the job posted on Naukri, Monster or such other job portals. Request you to please guide.
Ash Mathew
Sure Sanjeev, I am a job portal user myself.

I understand your question. I can help you with the same.

First of all - Naukri, monster and good credible job portals - follow a pay and use policy. So any employee who would want to post their job requirements must have paid for their ned, and it is a pretty high cost for the same. So people / employers / HR would think twice before posting any jobs there - I believe I have clarified - whether the jobs posted are genuine.

If you still feel that it may not be a solution for your question - you can notice that there is a posiibility to contact the company via phone or email, so you can always clarify if the position still exists and expect to receive a follow-up.

All you need to ensure is that you have a good covering letter (specific to the post that you are applying for, addressing the recruiter) and mention your contact details correctly. If you are outside India - you can always ask the recruiter for the best time (Indian) you can reach them to talk about the position. You see, in this way...the recruiter also feels that you are genuinely looking for a feedback.

To Sanjeev,
Ash Mathew may be correct, but dont believe the job posting blindly, there are few of them who cheat by posting jobs in the Job portal.Anyhow you should enquire about the company, check out the company in person verify about it and then choose whether or not to join there.

Hi guys,
Myself and my husband have returned to India one and half years back. I have around 14 yrs exp in Opeartions and my husband has around 20 yrs exp in IT. But till date we did not find a job. Still we are on look out for a better position. Our earnings abroad were no doubt very high and the position too was very high. We are ready to settle for middle positions and atleast a salary anything above Rs. 35000/-
So I suggest all NRIs, not to blindly comeback to India and serach ffor jobs. Always find a job first and then leave your current job.
Circulate your cvs to consultants and friends who will help you.
