Confused About PF Deductions at Work? How Can We Ensure Our Money Is Safe?

I have been working with a hotel in Pune for 8 months as a pre-opening member. The owners received the muster 3 months ago, with around 30 employees. Every month, they are deducting our PF and ESIC. Can you please suggest what should be done? All the staff are now raising questions as they have not filled out any PF forms and are interested in knowing where their hard-earned money is going. Most of them are planning to leave the organization soon.

So, can they claim their money? The management is saying that it takes time. First, they will set up an account for the office, and later individual account numbers will be allotted.

You need to check the authenticity of the information being provided to you. However, it's true that all this procedure takes time. First, they will be opening an account for the company, and then individual account numbers will be created for which you will be given the forms.

If your company hasn't obtained PF/ESIC code numbers, how should you deduct the PF/ESIC? Once the compliance is completed, both will be deducted and then paid to the government through challans. Nomination declaration forms will be filled out and submitted to the concerned authorities. Ultimately, it is the management's decision to ensure compliance and provide proof to the staff members.
