Dear Sir,

Hi Sowmya,

I am attaching herewith the PF Withdrawal Form No.19. If the Employer is not signing on the PF Withdrawal form, you can report the same to the Commissioner of EPF. You have the option to get the said Form attested/signed by any of the following: a) Magistrate, b) Gazetted Officer, c) Post/Sub Post Master, d) President of the village union, e) President of the Village Panchayat where there is no Union Board, f) Chairman/Secretary/Member of the Municipal/District Local Board, g) Member of Parliament, Legislative Assembly, h) Member of Central Board of Trustee/Regional Committee, Employees Provident Fund, i) Head of any recognized educational institution, j) any authorized official, as may be approved by the Commissioner of PF.

Fill in the said Application Form attached, and get the form attested by any one of the above and submit it to the PF Commissioner's office and take acknowledgment.

Please provide your Bank Name, Bank Account No. in the application, and the bank Address.

You will receive your PF Contribution amount, which will be deposited in the specified Bank account, and an intimation will be given to you. If you do not receive the said amounts even after the passing of a 1-month period, you can visit the Enquiry office located in the PF commissioner's office and get information on the reasons for the amount not being disbursed.

Everything regarding the withdrawal of PF amounts is clearly specified in the attached documents.

Hi Mohan,

I am writing from Bangalore. I left my previous job and had applied for the PF withdrawal. The company says it had submitted my withdrawal form to the PF office on 30-Nov-09. I called up the PF office, but they say it's still under processing. Please estimate the time I can get my money, and I want to know if there is a way to find out the balance or the total amount that will be paid.

Thanks,
Harsha.

Hi Mohan,

I have a question with reference to the 'employer's contribution' in the PF component for an employee. As I understand it, an employee contributes 13.61% to the PF account, and an employer contributes 13%.

For example: Basic Salary = Rs. 5000/-
PF from Employee = 13.61% of Rs. 5000/- = Rs. 680.50
PF from Employer = 13% of Rs. 5000/- = Rs. 650/-
Total PF accumulated for the month = Rs. 680.50 + Rs. 650.00 = Rs. 1330.00

Please tell me if this is how it works?

Warm Regards,
Amit

Hi Amit,

1. The employee contribution is 12% on basic + DA.
2. The employer contribution to EPF is 3.67%.
3. The employer contribution to the employees' pension fund is 8.33%.
4. The employer contribution to other administrative charges is 1.51%, all on basic + DA.
