Can someone please refer to me a good payroll software available in the market for the purpose of managing the salary processing for 2500+ employees? I would prefer vendors from the South as the software is for a company in Chennai.

Dear Jeeva,

My best suggestion is, why not have your company develop payroll software with the entire module? Modules include attendance, leave policy, salary, increments, income tax module, TDS certificate module, and so on. Think before making a decision and consider the following:

1) Whether to buy the software or develop it.
2) The importance of service support for the software, especially regarding updates on income tax, TDS certificates, and related forms.

There is a company called Davlin Software in Mangalore. They have online payroll software. You can access it online and just pay rentals. There are many advantages (support won't be an issue since it's online). You are actually not owning the software (if you want, you can); you will be paying the rentals that depend on the number of licenses you opt for.
