Seeking Advice on Short-Term HR Training Options While Pursuing PGDBA

I want to do some short-term training in HR. I am currently pursuing PGDBA in HR from Symbiosis Distance Learning. I have 2 years of experience in counseling. Please help me as soon as possible.

Many recognized universities are offering short-term courses like a diploma or PG diploma in Human Resource Management. Just take a look at the Pondicherry Central University website.

I have completed my graduation in BCom (Accounting & Finance) (WAITING FOR MY RESULTS). But as per my counseling analysis, I should opt for HR. I am planning to do a core MBA in HR. However, as I have not appeared for CAT or CET this year, I need to wait for all this time. During this period, I can't afford to waste my time, so I would like to get information about 6-8 months diploma courses in HR in Mumbai.

I found that Welingkar does offer such a course, but it is through distance learning. One more thing I would like to know is if I opt for such a diploma course, will it have good value.

Hi Sachin,

I went through the website of Welingkar, but found just two options available for HR, i.e., a 6-month/1-year diploma course in HR. However, it is providing a distance learning program. I would like to know whether this will have value. I have planned for a core MBA in HR; will this help me?

You may pick courses like Certified Performance and Competence Developer, Compensation and Benefits, Organizational Development (OD), and Psychometric Tests, etc., depending on your interests.

You may also refer to the website of Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), Directorate of Distance Education (DDE). I am currently pursuing a 1-year PG Diploma in Labor Laws and Administrative Laws.
