Eye Care for Desk Workers: How the 20-20-20 Rule Can Help You Avoid Strain

atoz
Hello, Everyone,

I have got a very useful tip for taking care of our eyes in my mail. I thought of sharing it with you all.

This exercise is for the eyes and it is termed as 20-20-20. It is apt for all of us who spend long hours at our desks, looking at the computer screen.

Step I:
After every 20 minutes of looking at the computer screen, turn your head and try to look at any object placed at least 20 feet away. This changes the focal length of your eyes, a must-do for tired eyes.

Step II:
Try to blink your eyes 20 times in succession to moisten them.

Step III:
Time permitting, one should walk 20 paces after every 20 minutes of sitting in one particular posture. This helps blood circulation for the entire body.

Circulate among your friends if you care for them and their eyes. They say that your eyes are the mirror of your soul, so do take care of them; they are priceless.

Thanks & Regards,

Sangeeta, I will certainly keep an eye on your post. This is not just an eyewash statement. I certainly need it now because nowadays I realize my eyes are losing normal power. I don't know if I have to go for extra fitting. This suggestion from you is timely. In the Citeman newsletter, your posting was eye-catching. Having read it, let me turn my eye to other postings.

Nice post, Sangeetha! If you have any other information on the same topic, don't hesitate to post. I myself have started seeing changes in my eyes. They are not as big as they used to be, and the shape is not the same. If you find anything else, please let me know.

Thanks,

You can close your eyes very tightly for a while. This exercise relaxes muscles around the eye socket. Darkness soothes and relaxes the eyes; you can also try palming to relax your eyes.
