Earned Leave Eligibility Under Factories Act: Is 150 Days of Work Enough for EL Encashment?

Can I get the correct rule for Earned Leave Eligibility with reference to the Factories Act? Whether an employee who worked for only 150 days is eligible for EL encashment.

No, only when the employee has worked for 240 days continuously, he/she is eligible for Earned Leave at all.

I joined in October 2013. Please clarify if I am eligible for Earned Leave (EL) and, if so, how many days I am entitled to. Thank you.

Eligibility Criteria for Earned Leave

1/3 should be the eligibility criteria. If you joined in October, you should fulfill the condition of 1/3 of the total working days (Oct '13 to Dec '13). You can then enjoy the leave once you complete 240 days.
