Struggling with Labor Laws? What's the Best Way to Start Understanding Them?

MONIKA SAPRA
Dear all,

I would like to ask something about labor laws. At this site, many attachments related to labor laws are present. My question is, what should be the beginning step to understand labor laws? When we read labor laws, there are articles, sections, acts. I just want to know the best or easiest way to learn these laws.

Thanks

Hi Monika,

You can start reading books related to labor law, and yes, the laws and the sections will be a bit confusing. So, just take one at a time and read ten sections daily as a beginner. Also, you can go through these sites where a small brief will be given about the laws so that you can understand it easily:
- [General Laws Primer](http://dateyvs.com) (Link updated to site home) ([Search On Cite](https://www.citehr.com/results.php?q=General Laws Primer) | [Search On Google](https://www.google.com/search?q=General Laws Primer))
- [India Lawyers - India Law/Indian Lawyer, Online Legal Solutions of India Lawyer Law Firm](http://www.helplinelaw.com)

Please review the resources mentioned above to enhance your understanding of labor laws. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Best regards

Hello Monika,

Initially, it happens when you read laws. The easy way is to first understand the scope and objective of that particular law. You should have the curiosity to know about it, read it thoroughly, all the definitions, and chapters of it. If we talk about the Factories Act or Standing Order of ESIC, you should know what exactly this act stands for, why it came into existence, and then go into details.

For any assistance, contact.
