Hi!
Can somebody forward me a format for the appointment letter for a IT company.

Appointment letter is the detailed term & condition about an employment, which is issued to all employees and Agreement made between company & individual employee.
In case of contract an employee is bound to complete whatever mutual agreed.
eg. If there is agreement between an employee & employer for 2 year service bond, then employee cann't leave before expiry of the period. But incase of appointment letter such condition cann't apply.
regards

Hi Folk, I forgot to send you a format of a contract. Soory about the delay because I have been very busy.I hope its not too late though.
In fact this is a very detailed contract format that can be used for both expatriate and local employees.
You have to tailor make it to fit your need. I have intentionally deleted the name of the country and made it country so you may state country.

Dear Neha,
Appointment Letter and Contract letter are two different documents. Appointment letter is issued if the company wants to hire employees on regular basis on general terms and conditions governing the organization in this regard but, Contract letter is issued if the company wants to hire anyone for a specified period on exclusive terms and conditions. The company may incorporate few or all the benefits given to the regular employees or may not. It is employers prerogative (However, statutory requirements needs to be fulfilled).
In contract letter also the CTC as well as terms and conditions are mentioned as in Appointment letter. But, Contract letter is specifically made as a legal document indicating the different terms and conditions which shall apply on the person concerned.

Santosh,
Please note that both are legal documents. In case of any dispute the appointment letter will be the rference point for any legal battle.

Dear All
For a Contract to come into existence there should be offer & acceptance. This can happen both in Apointment Leter s well as Contract. If the Appointment order is accepted then it leads to a Contract.

Dear Friends,
Good Point to discuss. I think Neha is bit confused between Contract and BOND, and some companies are giving appt letter which itself stands as contract.
But to simplify Appt Letter is very simple to accept either side.
And contract is some time forcing the either side for specific action...
What do you say buddies...

Hi
Our manufacturing plant is loacted in suach area where the local people treathen us to hire thier local people and not the outsider or contract.
The problem hireing the local people is they get involve in Union and create lots of problem as they are not only supported by out side union party but also politicians.
Suppose if we hire them what should be the main terms and condition in contarct or appointment letter.
