Struggling to Find Engaging English Teaching Materials – Can You Share Your Slides?

Avi Kaur
Dear seniors,

I want your experience to help me. I recently started teaching English at my institute, and honestly, I am not finding any materials to teach them. I think PowerPoint slides would be more helpful for the students, but I don't have any. I need something interesting and beneficial so that students can enjoy attending my class. Please send me slides if you have any.

Thanks.

Dear Avi,

For teaching English, no PowerPoint presentation is required. If you still want it, then you have to create it. If you are working as a spoken English trainer, then choose a topic and explain it to the students, giving them a topic to speak on. For example, if you are teaching them the Simple Present Tense, ask about their daily routine or inquire about the routines of a doctor, teacher, etc. You can do it this way. If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask me. I work as a spoken English and soft skills trainer.

Hi Avi Kaur,

There are countless resources available on this site. Instead of searching on Google, please search on CiteHR. You will find ready-made presentations that have been tested and proven.

Please type "English" in the Download Search bar located at the top of this page and press the "Go" button. You will find plenty of resources.

All the best,
Sowmini

Dear sign4hotmail,

Actually, I want to create attraction in my class, so I wanted some PowerPoint slides to mesmerize the children. However, I think it would be better to follow your suggestion, as students prefer conversation only. If you still have those slides, please let me know. Thanks for replying.

Thank you.

Dear Avi,

It's great to know that you want an interactive session with your students. For that, one doesn't have to use PPT only; one can organize games like dumb charades, etc., for different topics. Just like one plays for movies, we can use it to explain adjectives, adverbs, etc. Let them be innovative. Explain the topic and ask them to prepare a skit or write a composition. The composition can be used to express different tenses.

I am a corporate trainer, and I do these exercises with my trainees. Trust me, it really works, and then you are able to grab their attention.
