Expanding to New Airports: What HR Compliance Registers Should We Keep On-Site?

parulkakkar
Hi Readers,

I work in the HR Department of a company based at IGI Airport in Delhi. We are soon going to expand to other city airports. Could you please suggest which statutory HR registers we need to maintain on-site in case of a compliance officer visit?

Currently, we keep the attendance register at the site. Salary processing is done centrally, so we have it in soft copy, which can be presented upon request. Are there any other registers or notices related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, or Bonus that need to be displayed at the site as per statutory requirements?

Thank you.

Hi,

If your organization comes under a service-providing company, then under the Contract Labour Act, it is mandatory to maintain all records at the site office.

Dear Parul,

Greetings for the day!

Is your company involved in the extension of the runway at IGI airport?

Hi all,

We are running F&B outlets at the IGI airport. We are expecting a labor inspection within this week. Please walk me through the statutory records that need to be presented to the Labor Inspector.

Dear,

If you are a contractor for that project, please take a labor license (if engaging more than 20 employees in any day), maintain the attendance and wage register in the site office. Also, please display the abstract of labor laws (Contract Labor Act, Gratuity Act, Bonus Act, Child Labor Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act), and display the rate of wages as per Delhi Minimum Wages without fail.
