Book Lovers Unite: Which Book Do You Love to Revisit and Recommend?

Saachi
Dear Booklovers,

What is your favorite book that you would love to read again and again, and also recommend to others? Let's share this information with each other.

I would like to share mine. It was a storybook I read in my childhood - "Les Misérables," based on The Working Classes in Revolutionary France. The character 'Fantine' was one of the most tragic figures in that novel. It's truly a very touching story to read.

Also, I always love to read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho again and again.

Let's continue to share our favorite reads and spread the joy of reading.

Best regards

Hi Saachi,

For Lovestory, "Pride and Prejudice."
For inspiration, "Think and Grow Rich" and "Master Key to Riches."
For novels, Arthur Hailey's complete collection including "Detective," "Money Changers," "Strong Medicine," "The Wheels," "Hotel," "Airport," and "Final Diagnosis."
For poetry, William Shakespeare's works. Sounds too large!
That's the craze these guys have instilled in me - this is the first list. Thanks for bringing up books.

My all-time favorite is "God of Small Things" by Arundhati Roy. I have lost track of how many times I have read it. Each time, it's something new.

Dear Saachi and all others,

My favorite book is "Pleasures of Philosophy" written by Will Durant. However, I read it about 10 years ago and have not found a copy anywhere in Delhi. If anyone can locate it in the market, please let me know. I am willing to pay for shipping charges as well as the cost of the book immediately to obtain it.

I also encourage all of you to read it at least once in a lifetime if you come across this book. It is truly a book worth reading for everyone.

Cheers!

I liked "Kane and Abel" written by Jeffrey Archer. That's a lovely story of two men born worlds apart. They have nothing in common except the same date of birth (April 18, 1906) and a zeal to succeed in life.
