Considering an MBA in HR While Working: Is IGNOU the Best Choice for Distance Learning?

Komal-CITE HR.COM
Hello all!

I need your suggestions regarding distance education through IGNOU. I am currently working in a multinational company as an HR executive. I am a graduate and planning to pursue an MBA specialization in HR through distance mode. Someone has referred me to IGNOU-Indira Gandhi Open University. Is it the best option, or could you please suggest any other university?

Please suggest!

Thanks & Warm Regards,
Komal

Hi Komal,

I am also doing the MBA from IGNOU, and it's very good. The course is specially designed for working people. They conduct the classes every Sunday to cover all the topics/courses.

If you need any help, please email me at sgondchar@whitehedge.com.

Hi,

It's nice that you want to pursue an MBA. However, an MBA from IGNOU is known to be very challenging. You would need to dedicate a significant amount of time to your studies. As a working professional, it may be difficult to find the time to commit to such rigorous studying after work hours.

If you can manage to allocate that much time, then pursuing an MBA from IGNOU would be a good choice. Alternatively, I would recommend looking into Symbiosis as it is easier and requires less time and effort. The study material for an MBA can also be more demanding compared to other programs.

All the best.

You can also take the MBA from Karnataka State Open University or from Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya. The study materials are good and to the point.

Chetan.
