The management and HRD team in my organization are very keen on conducting a health campaign in the office. The campaign will consist of posters, danglers, and leaflets circulated in all the branches over a period of 4 months. We will commence the campaign on 26th Nov, which is also celebrated as Anti-obesity day.
Our plan is to measure the weight of each employee to determine if they are overweight based on their height and sex. Subsequently, we will identify those who are overweight and obese. A contest will then be announced where overweight individuals will be encouraged to lose weight, and the top 5 losers by the end of March 2010 will receive gifts.
I seek guidance from members on how we can enhance the productivity and significance of this initiative. What additional elements can be incorporated to make it engaging for the employees? Please suggest and guide me as I am new to HR, and my organization is embarking on such an endeavor for the first time.
