I am managing HR in a school in Hyderabad. I had asked the employee to forego her salary for the X mas vacations in the year 2008 for 10 days, as a punishment for he Sick leaves ( Leaves treated as LOPs already).
Now the employee is threatening to go to Asst Labour Commissioner if the payment of salary is not disbursed immediately.
I had also issued a letter to the employee in 2008, and taken her signature, which states, " Attend school in X mas holidays or forego Salary" .
The school remained closed during X mas holidays for all the teachers; these are the paid holidays.
Please advise how to resolve it? The management has taken this issue on an egoistic grounds, and I wish to avoid any dispute.
