How to Handle Tough Performance Reviews When Employees Disagree and Get Upset

ranjit23das
There is a lot of good material available on CiteHR on how to conduct performance reviews.

Please find attached a 90-minute training session which focuses on helping leaders conduct difficult performance reviews - ones where the employee disagrees with the feedback from the manager and gets upset or angry. Hopefully, not many leaders will have to handle difficult performance reviews, but this session will prepare them for the worst!

A trainer can easily slot this 90-minute session into their regular performance review training. Hope you find it useful.

Hi Ranjit,

It is a wonderful presentation. Thanks for sharing.

In India, we need to go a long way to achieve international standards in PMS. Some of the demerits of the appraisal process include no proper goal setting, role ambiguities, lack of feedback, appraisals just to fit the normal curve, showing off to the external world, and victimization. However, some forward-looking companies follow excellent systems that ensure 100% transparency and help teams build confidence, stay motivated, and improve performance.
