Join Us for the First CiteHr Bangalore Meet of the Year on January 21 – Will You Be There?

Wishing you all a very happy New Year and Happy Sankranti.

To start with, my name is Sridhar. I am the coordinator for this month's meet. Normally, the CiteHr meeting was conducted on the 2nd Sunday of every month, but this month it will be conducted in the 3rd week as we want our members to celebrate the Sankranti festival, which falls around the 2nd week of January. Let's begin this year's first CiteHr meet on a high note.

With Sridhar's permission, I'm trying to answer the questions.

1. Yes of course anyone with an interest in HR can attend. That would mean trainers, HR folks-junior or senior, recruiters etc. Anyone who want to learn about Hr or can contribute something about HR, please come over. Preferably register yourself as a citehr member, read some of the discussions, reply to some if you like before you come.

2. The venue: The Arrupe hall, 1st floor, Ashirwad, no 30. st. marks road cross, Bangalore-1

3. The time: PM SHARP. ( Please ask for Greatscope Consulting's meeting as the hall is booked in that name.)

4. Fees : we simply divide the cost of the hall & tea/snacks by the numbner of members attending. Usually less than . The more members attending, the lesser it costs. So everyone & his dog can come! ( just kidding!)

Sridhar will post the agenda. But it is sure going to be worth your while. I've NEVER missed a single meeting since we began in October 2006.

So I encourage all members of Bangalore to shed their inhibitions, reasons, excuses ; cancel, postpone other appointments & make this 4th citeHr bangalore meet a FANTABULOUS SUCCESS !

Hi Suvarna, Arun, Mary, and others,

We had a great CiteHR meeting on Sunday. Shreya Choudhry gave a simple yet very interesting preview about DISC profiling. All the (10) participants enjoyed the presentation, and there was a lot of discussion on the topic. Pity we did not have more who could benefit from the session. The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, 11th of Feb, and we are trying to have a session on BEI - Behavioral Event Interviewing (topic to be confirmed yet).

We decided that we will each get around 5 friends, then we will have a sizable quorum for the next meeting. If current CiteHR members cannot come, then we will simply create new CiteHR members and get on with the meeting. For the record, many of the attendees were first-timers. The show must go on! Come on and join the show!
