Fresh HR MBA Student Seeking Advice on Valuable Courses to Boost Career Prospects

jp4quiz
Hi, I'm a fresher. I did my BE in ECE as an undergraduate, and now I'm doing an MBA in HR. Can you please tell me about the courses that I can take to improve my profile? I have heard that Industrial Psychology is a good course. Can anyone guide me regarding what kind of extra courses I can pursue? Thank you in advance.

Take up a course in competency mapping or in psychometric testing if you are looking to specialize in a particular field within HR. Consider pursuing Train the Trainer (TTT) programs for further specialization. Additionally, set a goal to gain work experience as it provides valuable practical application of theoretical knowledge.

Remember to keep sharing your insights and experiences.

Thank you for your kind replies, friends. Could you please help me know which college offers a program in Industrial Psychology? I am currently pursuing an MBA, so it would be helpful if I could find a short course, maybe around 6 months, in the same field. Thank you.

Hi, as per my opinion, you can do any one of the following courses in addition to MBA (HR):

1. PG Diploma in Labour Laws: It will help you enhance your skills in IR issues as this Labour Law is not thoroughly explained in the MBA syllabus.
2. PG Diploma in Industrial Counselling, Psychological Counselling, or Social Psychology is an extra advantage. These courses are offered by various universities in India through distance mode. Some of the universities are:
1. University of Madras
2. Institute of Psychotherapy and Management Sciences
3. Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka offers PG Diploma in Social Psychology, which will help you a lot.
4. CCIMS Institute, Bangalore
5. Annamalai University
6. Madurai Kamaraj University
7. Alagappa University
Go to google.com for websites of these universities.
