Is Majoring in HR and Minoring in IT the Right Career Path for a Computer Expert?

What is the scope of major HR and minor IT? Is this the right combination for me? My expertise is basically in computers, but I want to pursue an MBA in HR. Therefore, I thought I will major in HR and minor in IT. Is my decision correct or wrong? Please suggest so that I can ensure my career is on the right path.

During interviews, they ask me questions like "Why did you choose this minor? What is the basic reason behind this?" They ask me these questions because most HR students choose a minor in finance or marketing. In this case, how should I reply?
