Worried About Failing a Vision Test for a Job at Ericsson? Need Advice on What to Do

tarunpuvvala
Hi guys,

I went for a medical checkup today. All tests were fine other than one relating to my eyes. I passed the color blindness test, and the doctor told me to read letters from the board. I read them clearly with my spectacles. After that, he told me to remove my spectacles and read. I could only read the first big letter. He wrote in the medical test form that "I am fit for the job" except for defective distinct vision. :( Later, some hospital staff told me that it's not a big problem. But I am worried if the company rejects me seeing this. Has this happened to any of you guys? My sight is -4, and the company name is Ericsson. Please help me out. I am thinking of fooling them by wearing lenses and going to the same hospital but a different branch. Is it a good idea?

Thank you.

Was the doctor referred/nominated by the "said mentioned" company? If the answer is "Yes," then you are fit for the job. Because in all cases, these doctors are aware of the medical standard to be passed by the candidate in the pre-employment.

I am sure that you have cleared the pre-employment health check-up.
