Hr Marketing "employer Branding" - PDF Download

~ Fauzia ~
Dear Members,

I wanted to start the discussion again. This time I wanted to discuss the new concept "Employer Branding."

"Employer branding is a central concept in HR marketing. In an era of dwindling demographics, companies and organizations are trying to attract people and to convince them to become employees. They tend to use many human resources marketing techniques to do so. It usually answers one basic question: "Why should anyone join the company instead of any other company?" It defines the personality of a company as a preferred employer. It provides potential employees with information on business, culture, and benefits of working for this company. Not only is it used to steer the recruiting effort, but it also leads in generating strategies for retention and motivation. The branding during the recruitment period needs to be confirmed once the candidate becomes an employee.

Pranam,

"Employer Branding" - I read and found it interesting with the term. My question is how many employees serve an employer in the long run. Additionally, I want to specifically know what the word "EMPLOYER" means. I am trying to view it from a different perspective, that is, from the point of view of RELATIONSHIPS.

"Employer branding" starts from the time of advertising until the orientation of the employee. It's a very sensitive issue. Projecting the company as the preferred employer in the ads and convincing the employees during the interview process is very critical. Even issues like keeping the candidate waiting for a long time in the interview process or not responding promptly during interviews can affect employer branding, I guess.

In fact, HR professionals need to be better marketing executives to attract and retain candidates. :)

Hi,

I also believe that 'HR Branding' or 'Employer Branding' is becoming a very critical issue as it greatly assists the recruitment team in attracting the right talent. Having a strong HR Branding makes it easier to retain good employees as they feel a sense of belonging.

Employer Branding has 2 aspects to it. It is the "Candidate Journey" - from the first time a candidate is met until the time he joins the organization. "Employment Experience" - how the systems and processes in an organization are run for an employee to have an 'experience' which matches his 'expectations' which got created during the candidate journey.

But more importantly, the whole concept starts from the 'Values' of the organization. Like every Brand which is created, an 'Employer Brand' also needs to have a Brand Identity, Brand Promise, and as a result 'Brand Image'. All employees in an organization are the 'Brand ambassadors'. But to maximize - all candidates who ultimately do not get selected as well as employees who leave an organization should also be the 'brand ambassadors'.

The real value of an organization would be realized if people who are outside the organization also speak well about the company.

Thank you

It's interesting. I would also like to take part in your research discussion on employer branding. Employer branding is not purely based on the standards set for each company in the organization but encompasses the ideas and plans proposed by both employees and employers of the organization. I hope you understand my perspective well.
