Hi Riya,

What kind of organization are you working for? Are you working in production, construction, IT, or somewhere else?

Thank you.

Manpower Information System varies from company to company but, in essence, it deals with the manpower of a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of a particular organization.

I have corrected the spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in the user's input and formatted the text into a single paragraph with the correct line breaks. The meaning of the original message has been preserved.

Hi, I have a similar query regarding what sort of MIS reports an executive assistant could generate for a software company.

First, you need to understand what MIS is, then you'll be able to make the reports.

Understanding MIS Reports

The MIS report means "Management Information Service." Generally, it is submitted monthly to the head of the unit (Factory or Establishment). The report should reach the concerned head from all department heads by the first week of the month, covering the last month's particulars. The HR department also submits their report. In our organization, we usually submit the format as follows:

M.I.S. REPORT - HR DEPARTMENT # FOR THE MONTH OF ____________

- **Department Head Name:**
- **Managers, Staff, Operators, Temporary, Total**
- **Manpower Position in:** _________________________________________
- **New Joinings in:** _______
- **Left Service Employees in:** ________
- **Total Manpower at the End:** ______
- **New Employees' Duties and Responsibilities:** See the attachment
- **Advertisement Given For:** If a paper ad is given during the month or else if any
- **Time Office for Controlling Attendance**
- **Disciplinary Actions Taken for the Reasons**
- **Monthly Appraisal System from the Heads Received**
- **Suggestions from the Dept. Heads and Employees**
- **Reports from the Statutory Authorities Received**
