HR Summit in Ahmedabad: Who's Interested in a Local Meet-Up?

Don't you think we should all get together for an HR summit in Ahmedabad? It's good to gather when people from at least nearby areas of Gujarat can meet.

Gujarat, in recent times, has been a great hub for HR professionals. Those of us working in Gujarat are aware that the work ethics and culture in Gujarat are very different from other states. Starting an HR meet in Gujarat would be really helpful towards creating a forum or a group of HR people to discuss issues related to Gujarat.

It's a great idea about meeting up together. Also, what I think is that we should have some contacts with other HR members in Ahmedabad or nearby areas, i.e., email IDs, so that we can create an HR group on Yahoo Groups. This way, we can better understand HR concepts. I will definitely be interested in meeting up whenever you guys plan something. I am working as an HR Executive in a UK-based BPO.

Hi Hiral,

This is a very nice initiative to have an HR Summit in Ahmedabad. However, I think we have been discussing this thread for quite some time.

What I suggest is to form a working group of, let's say, 5 members or more. Some of them should have good contacts in Ahmedabad who can assist in arranging logistics, such as an indoor hall and light refreshments. The members of the working group should be in touch with each other on a daily basis to plan out the details, work on the agenda, modalities, and formalities for the Summit.

Once everything is finalized, at least 15 days before the event, we can post the details including the date, venue, and time on this forum and seek confirmation from our friends in Ahmedabad.

This is my blueprint. Please include me in the working group. My contact number is 9898209335.
