Anjana Rai
Respected Seniors,

I am a Management Student and want to go for a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management. Some friends of mine told me about the NET JRF exam for it. I don't know the syllabus of the exam. Can anyone help me regarding it?

NET for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship exam is conducted twice a year, i.e., in June and December.

Syllabus for HRM - There are 3 papers for the NET Exam: 2 objective type papers and one descriptive paper.

The first paper is common for all subjects; it contains topics like teaching aptitude, reasoning, etc.

The second objective paper contains two parts: the first part is general management and the second part is an elective paper.

The third descriptive paper also contains two parts: the first part is general management and the second part is elective.

Papers to be concentrated on for the general management part are Principles of Management, Marketing Management, Economics, etc.

For HR, you have to focus on Human Resource Management - job analysis, job specification, recruitment selection, motivation, performance appraisal, training and development, etc.

Hi, I am also planning to appear for NET this year and waiting for the notification. For CSIR, they have already called, but for management, the notification might get published by the end of October or in November. Keep in touch with the UGC website.

For the subjects, I would advise you to go for HRM separately because in management, the syllabus is very extensive, and I've heard that the pass ratio is 1:20. Moreover, you are also eligible for HRM. I am attaching the syllabus for management, HRM, as well as the entire syllabus for your reference.

Thank you.

I am looking for HR fellowship programs. If there is any program for that, kindly help me by knowing the procedure for that.
