Iso 9001:2008, Iso 14001:2004 & Ts16949:2009 - PPS Download

Dear all,

We are currently certified for ISO 9001:2000 and TS 16949:2002. As you all know, there has been a transition in both standards, and the revised standards are ISO 9001:2008 and TS 16949:2009. Since I am new to handling these systems, I am in need of help to update my system and documents in line with the changes brought about by the revision.

It would be of great help if anyone could assist me in this regard.

There are no major changes in ISO 9001. There are some editorial changes in the ISO 9001 standard. However, ISO 9001:2008 has emphasized more on controlling outsourcing activities.

So, you have two tasks to complete:

1. Revamp your entire ISO 9001 Quality Manual with the editorial changes as per the 2008 version requirements.
2. Identify, establish, and document all the outsourcing activities of your organization with controls and checks.

I apologize for my delayed response. Your information has been very useful to me. I have yet to begin working on ISO/TS16949. The surveillance audit has been tentatively scheduled for the 17th of December 2009. I will commence work from next week and will reach out to you if I encounter any difficulties. I sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to assist me.

Could you please inform me of any changes that need to be made to transition from TS 16949:2008 to TS 16949:2009?

You need to identify which records need to be kept to comply with the requirements of your ISO 9001 audit and what you need to successfully run the business. Inevitably, processes can go wrong, and you will need to have a defined process for fixing the problem and identifying where it went wrong before making changes to stop it from happening again.
