Leave Encashment Dilemma: Should Employees Get Full Privilege Leave if They Resign Early in the Year?

bhaskarnarayani
Dear All,

The leaves provided in my company are as per the Calendar Year. Employees are given 14 days of Privilege Leave.

If an employee resigns in March, should the entire Privilege Leave be encashed?

Looking forward to the response.

Yes, employees' accumulated leave will get encashed with the final settlements. However, it is subject to company policy regarding the extent to which an employee can encash their leaves.

Thank you!

It depends on the company policy, but usually employees are entitled to leave encashment once they resign.
