Employee Engagement - Seniors Pls Help !

Dear All,
I am doing a project on employee engagement activities in a manufacturing firm. Need some info on the same.. activities as well as any reports for Employee Engagement in India in the year 2009/ 2008 by reputed firms.

I believe you gathered that i am doing a survey on employee engagement. The thing is that the company i am doing the project for has already taken up a survey , and based on the survey results, i am supposed to find out activities, initiatives which employers undertake to engage employees. I have visited a few industries , gathered some information, but i thought probably i could find more such initiatives which can be undertaken to build employee engagement. Hence the reuest. And since i am supposed to make a report, i was wondering if i could add to it, the current status of employee engagement in orgnisations across India.
So just in case you have any such reports which have been done by reputed institutes in a nation wide survey, for employee engagement in 2009 or probably 2008, that would be a great help.
