Seeking Advice on SAP HR Training: Which Modules Suit My Career Shift Best?

I am currently working as a General Manager in a trading company in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have been in this senior management position for over 10 years and see no further career advancement in this organization. Therefore, I decided to change my track and recently completed my MBA with a major in Human Resource Management (I also hold a BSc and MSc degree with a major in Chemistry). I am 42+.

I have learned that SAP is considered one of the most popular and powerful ERP systems worldwide, and in Bangladesh, only a few companies have implemented the system in their organizations. However, I anticipate this number will increase rapidly in the near future, and organizations will require trained individuals to administer their systems.

I am considering receiving training on the SAP Human Resources module as I see its future value both domestically and internationally. In Bangladesh, there is no authorized SAP training institute, so the nearest suitable location for me would be "Siemens Information Systems Limited" in Kolkata, India.

Can anyone experienced in this field help me by suggesting SAP Human Resources training modules that would be suitable for me based on my background provided above? Additionally, I would appreciate information on the following regarding the training:

- Details of the course contents
- Any prerequisites for the training

Thank you for your kind attention to my post. I am currently working in a small trading company involved in sourcing and marketing raw materials (such as fabrics, accessories, yarns, etc.) for garments from renowned manufacturers in China, Taiwan, and Korea to the export-oriented garment industries in Bangladesh. There are a total of 23 employees in this company. I am working as GM Marketing for over 10 years and additionally managing the HR functions of the company for the last 4 years (I have an MBA in HRM). There is a small HR & Administration department with 3 staff members. I hope this information will help you suggest the best solution for me.

Dear Mr. Moiz,

Instead of HR, I would suggest you consider SAP-SD. However, if you are also managing HR and have an MBA in HR, there is no problem in pursuing SAP-HCM.

I am working as a Senior Executive in Logistics at a private company. After 5 years in this role, I have noticed limited opportunities for advancement within the current company.
