HRM In Shopping Malls

Hi there,
Mall culture is coming in a big way to our country. The type and number of human resources recruited in these departmental stores and malls is also very huge. So i am thinking of taking up some research project in this sector.
I just wanted to know from you all that does these places too, like BPO's face problem of attrition,young work force related issues etc. Are there any peculiar good HR practices in this area?
I would like to know more about this...
Also i would like to know whether i can take up any project related to this...

mall culture is also termed as retailing....work force dat work there is mostly not-very educative....if u wrk as a stores manager or smthin then retailing is very good wth growth...with regards to u doin a project in this area....i would say challenges will be very few as attrition caused in this sector is mostly due to compensation related issues.....but whn u do somthin in bpo's u get to explore lot of dimensions of H.R...RETAILING IS GOING TO BE VERY BIG IN INDIA with playerslike WALLMART comin here...as of now there is nothi very special in d fileld...practically speaking... moreover u should do a project which would help u to geta job....and bpo serves as a good option...but if ur interested in retailing u can go ahead...& try to explore it....as my knowledge is very limited in retailing....i will let u knw in case i find smthin good in retailing...

Thanks for sharing your views. whatever you said is very true...but i don't know there is something about these places that attract me to think about it. May be i will try to relate my thoughts more clearly. I will try reading some more about it or try talking to people who are in the sector of retailing already.
Can you help me finding some interesting topic for my research project for my second year MBA-HR?
I am very much interested in topics related to OB i.e. Organizational Behavior.can you guide me on that?
I will try to collect as much as information as i can about mals and also study the feasibility of the project.
