Stuck in a Job Bond: How Can I Get My Relieving Letter from Infosys Faster?

shrutiza
I had filled up a 1-year bond with Infosys as a fresher and got located at a distant place. I left it in 4 months due to my bad health because of the environment there. I requested them to post me to some other location, which had fallen on deaf ears.

I knew that after resignation, I had to go through bond formalities and was supposed to pay some amount of money to be relieved from there, which I have no problem with. Now the thing is, it's already been a month after my resignation, and those people are unnecessarily delaying the process (saying 8 more weeks are required to send the demand letter), which was never a part of the bond's clause.

As a result, I am unable to apply anywhere else because I don't have a relieving letter from them. Kindly suggest what my options are. Also, I had sent all my medical certificates to them, but no reply came.

I never expected that a reputed company like Infosys would behave in such a manner. Moreover, no one is ready to reply positively and even saying, "Why did I join if I was to have to leave so soon."

Hi,

Just curious, but where do you hail from and where were you posted by Infy? It is sad to note that you have gone through such an experience, but then I guess this is the case with almost all other IT majors. In fact, to what I am aware, Infy and Wipro at least give an option of relocation, but TCS asks people to simply leave the organization. Any thoughts on this?
