please do send me a copy of the kind of report you have(ssambs_steven@yahoo.co.uk).
I would like to however point us to some direction too. First of all at the begning of the reporting period of our organisation, you must have derived some HR goals or annual priorities (where your HR department will focus to bring results during the year) from your annual work plan which is derived from your overall organisation business plan, strategic priorities or strategy what ever you want to call it since they all mean the same thing namely what your organisations lng term goals (5 years plan).
In HR language we call that HR metircs (examples some of which are pointed out here are - attrition rate or turn over rate, turnover, personnel inventory, percentage of payroll against total organistion expenditure, recruitment - how many recruited in the year and the cost of recruitment, trainings held, total cost of the trainings or development interventions) and many other HR metircs. Go to google and search for examples of HR metrics. Remember every report has a structure i.e introduction, summary, main report, future plan etc etc. good luck and please also find other resources through research so that you can get the idea. Google HR reports and you will be amazed at what you can find on the internet.
