Dear Krishna,
Many thanks for sharing the ppt on EI. Good work and will certainly be useful to many. Just a few thoughts: should we say emotions should not be bracketed as positive or negative? For example, you have said sadness is negative, but it is natural and important to feel sad over the loss of a near and dear one, or sad over non-accomplishment of set goals. The importance lies in feeling sad, getting in touch with it, learning to cope with it, and expressing that one is sad and the cause of it to sensitize the giver of this sadness. This will avoid future repetition and create the much-wanted empathy. Thus, getting in touch with feelings and emotions is very important, and the way to express and manage them is a skill to be developed. I am speaking from my experience in the army where managing emotions is of paramount importance to be a good leader.
Trust this will help you to look into a new dimension.
