I'm an MBA first year student. I want to do specialization in HR I am doing MBA from my hometown because of some personal problems. The college is the best management college in the city but as per the placement record only 10% HR students were placed and I have no other option instead of going for this college. So, my question is: what should I do to be in those 10% students?
1. Should I do some course along with MBA to uplift my profile? what about HRD?(I have seen the basic difference between HRD and HRM posted here. Not able to decide)
2.Should i go for marketing, finance.........
Please suggest me what shall I do. If your answer is no to the 2nd point then please guide me how should i study, which books shall i refer, what should be my strategy?

Hi,
In present competitive world every student is expected to have better exposure along with some basic theoretical knowledge. Industry is having certain assignments for which they dont want to spend time and huge money. If we can bring these two things together every one will get benefited. Take that type of assignment and give it to students to complete under some experts guidance. For example all most all companies love to do some campaigns like roads shows, melas etc. take the charge make students organize that effectively.
If this kind of suggestion is already there, kindly excuse me. But dont make me to think twice before I post some thing.
