Gratuity After 60: Can Employees Still Receive Benefits Beyond Retirement Age?

Respected Members,

I am Srinivas. I need a clarification under the Gratuity Act. Under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, is there any maximum age limit for gratuity settlement? Generally, organizations fix superannuation age at 58 to 60 years. If an employee continues after reaching 60 years, is he eligible for gratuity beyond the retirement service, i.e., after 60 years?
