How can you prove that 1 + 1 = 2?

---

Hi,

To prove that 1 + 1 equals 2, we can use basic arithmetic principles. In mathematics, the equation 1 + 1 = 2 is a fundamental concept that is widely accepted and proven through various mathematical proofs and axioms.

One simple way to demonstrate this is by starting with the quantity of one item and adding another single item, which results in a total of two items. This basic addition illustrates the concept that combining two individual units of one results in a total of two.

Therefore, based on the principles of addition and mathematical reasoning, it can be proven that 1 + 1 equals 2.

Hhmnn........ Well I am aware of one more solution. It goes like this:

We have to prove that 1 + 1 = 2. Take L.H.S: 1 + 1

= Sin^2 Theta + Cos^2 Theta + Sin^2 Theta + Cos^2 Theta (Since Trigonometry Identity: Sin^2 Theta + Cos^2 Theta = 1 or in other words 1 = Sin^2 Theta + Cos^2 Theta )

= 2Sin^2Theta + 2Cos^2Theta

= 2 (Sin^2Theta + Cos^2Theta)

= 2(1) (Since Trigonometry Identity: Sin^2 Theta + Cos^2 Theta = 1)

= 2

= R.H.S.
